Samarkand to host an International Forum of Youth Parliaments

Presidential Initiatives in Action

The future, the destiny, and the well-being of the world lie in the hands of the younger generation. Our urgent task is to instill in the minds of young people the noble ideals of peace, humanism, friendship, mutual trust, and respect.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized this in his address at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

“In this regard, we propose the establishment of a World Youth Movement for Peace and the placement of its headquarters in Uzbekistan. We are consistently implementing the policy of tolerance in our society”, the Head of State said.

This initiative was unanimously supported, as Uzbekistan has been consistently implementing a youth policy aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of young people. The Youth Affairs Agency, the Youth Parliament, and the Youth Academy are actively contributing to the development of youth potential.

As part of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy, creative parks have been established in each region, annually attracting no fewer than 40,000 young specialists. In schools, the study of two foreign languages and the acquisition of one profession are guaranteed. Talented young people are being sent to study at prestigious foreign universities. Starting in 2025, residents of creative industry parks will be granted tax benefits.

Youth are the main driving force of society, and their development is the key to the country’s progress. In Uzbekistan, proactive young people receive comprehensive support from both the state and society.
