President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, will pay a working visit to the city of Kazan on October 23-24 to participate in the events of the summit of the BRICS organization states.
The Head of our State will deliver a speech at the plenary session of the event in the “BRICS plus” format, which will be held under the chairmanship of the Russian side.
The agenda of the meeting includes the issues of expanding international cooperation to ensure inclusive and sustainable development. Current aspects of global policy will also be considered.
In addition, the program of the visit envisions a number of bilateral meetings.
The BRICS Group was founded in 2006. Currently, its members include Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the UAE, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia.
