Meeting with the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Matteo Mecacci

On February 25th this year, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the OSCE Abat Fayzullaev met with the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Matteo Mecacci.

At the meeting, the ODIHR Director was presented with an award on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which was awarded to him during the international conference "Human Rights Education: International Experience and National Practice", held in a hybrid format on December 10-11 2021 in Tashkent.

During the conversation, they also discussed the issues of assistance by the OSCE/ODIHR to the implementation of large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan were also discussed, including improvement of the electoral legislation in our republic.
