The Leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Topical Issues on the Bilateral and Regional Agenda

On June 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President of Uzbekistan has sincerely congratulated the President of Kazakhstan on the successful holding of an important political event – a nationwide referendum on the introduction of amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the country.

The topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance were considered, as well as the views on the regional agenda were exchanged.

A special attention is paid to the implementation of the top-level agreements, primarily to promote the priority projects of bilateral trade, economic, investment, transport and communication, scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Along with this, the prospects for regional cooperation, the continuation of a close and fruitful dialogue at the international organizations were discussed.

The telephone conversation between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took place in a traditionally friendly and businesslike atmosphere.
