After the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution to grant the country’s four political parties permission to participate in the 4 December 2016 elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Currently the preparation for the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to be conducted on December 4 this year is at a fast pace. This significant event for our country causes a wide interest in the foreign media.

The strengthening of families, mother and child health, upbringing of healthy and comprehensively advanced generation are the key priorities of the national program The Year of Healthy Mother and Child. More than 4.4 trillion soums and $111 million have already been invested for these purposes.

On June 2, President Islam Karimov signed a resolution "On the preparation and celebration of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

In keeping with tradition, chiefs of diplomatic missions in Uzbekistan joined Navruz celebrations and delivered greeting remarks for the people of Uzbekistan.
