The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan held expanded session on December 9. It was devoted to discussion of forecasts of main macroeconomic figures, the concept of tax and budget policy and Draft State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan to 2018.

II International fruit and vegetable fair will be held in Tashkent on September 6-8, 2017.

A total of more than 31,000 tons of fruits was exported from Uzbekistan in the first month of the current year. For comparison, in January 2016, the inflow of foreign currency from exports of fruits, vegetables, cucurbits and legumes totaled $20.7 million.

The total value of completed projects exceeded $5.2 billion, the number of jobs – 5,300. Non-ferrous metallurgy, light industry and electrical engineering dominate in the implemented projects.шленность

Companies of Uzbekistan signed agreements for US$74 million to supply fresh and processed agriculture products within the International exhibition of food, drinks and raw materials PRODEXPO-2017, which was held in Moscow, Russia, on 6-10 February.

On October 26, Interim President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev signed a Decree "On additional measures for the intensification and expansion of activities of free economic zones".

The measures directed at the modernization of capacities and establishment of production of new goods have been underway in the domestic industry, making a positive effect on the competitiveness of the national economy in an open market. Cooperation among enterprises of the real economy and small businesses remains as the key mechanism to achieve these objectives, as it was noted by participants of the International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange (IIFCE) that wrapped up recently in the capital Tashkent.

Productive forces are the combination of the mean of production with human labour power aimed at creating material wealth and other values. They are treated also as the individual (human) and material factors interrelated and interacting in creative process. They characterize "image", aspect of one or another economic system, determine power of the state. Therefore the level of development of productive forces is considered to be the most important estimative criterion of economy development level and an indicator of social progress.

International fruit and vegetable fair kicks off at UzExpoCentre The fair, organized in line with the resolution of the First President of our country Islam Karimov on measures to organize and conduct annual International fruit and vegetable fair by Uzbekoziqovqatholding, Uzvinosanoat-holding, Uzbekoziqovqatzahira holding companies, Uzagroexport foreign trade company and Xalqaro meva-savzavot yarmarkasi direksiyasi LLC, is attended by domestic companies, specialized in growing, processing and export of fruit and vegetable products.

Thanks to the profound structural changes carried out in national economy, implementation of large-scale programs the basis for development of new industries is created. Thus, the food industry was really formed in days of independence, having turned into a high-tech industry. And as result scopes of supply to the population of quality consumer goods increase year by year, food security of the republic is being ensured.
